For MWC 2021, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Infinix has just presented a new concept of mobile phone which has the particularity of being able to be recharged very quickly at 160 watts, but which also has the ability to change the color of its back shell according to different situations. Will this concept ever be commercialized? Here are all the details.

The brand infinix is well known in China for its innovations in the field of mobile phones, but not marketed in France. Of course, it is far from being the only one to use research and development to stand out from others where competition is particularly fierce. So, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo or Xiaomi are among the most active on innovations and regularly present concepts which then become a reality or not …

A full charge in just 10 minutes

For MWC 2021, Infinix announces a new concept of smartphones which has two peculiarities. The first is the more useful of the two. Indeed, according to the manufacturer, the mobile is able to support a charge at 160 watts which would allow its 4000 mAh battery to be fully recharged in just 10 minutes ! At the same time, it would also be equipped with the wireless charging function that could collect 50 watts, like the current Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra. Infinix states that its charging technology, Ultra Fast Charge, prevents overheating and overcharging problems. The mobile would be equipped with about twenty temperature sensors that work simultaneously to ensure that the smartphone never exceeds 40 ° C.

A back that goes from light blue to silver gray

The other particularity of this smartphone is that it offers a back that changes color. It is made from transparent solid electrochromic film and electroluminescent film. It can thus change from light blue to silver gray when you receive a call or when you charge the mobile. This more or less useful feature is necessarily reminiscent of the one developed by OnePlus for the OnePlus 8T Concept which also featured elements on the back that could change colors according to different interactions. It remains to know the durability of this function on the Infinix Concept Phone 2021 and whether we will be lucky enough to be able to approach such a smartphone in a marketable version.

Otherwise, technically speaking?

The smartphone benefits from a 88 degree curved FHD + AMOLED display, like the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, for example, with a diagonal of 6.67 inches. It is animated by a chip Mediatek Helio G95 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of RAM. It embeds a photo configuration of 64 + 8 + 8 megapixels on the back and 32 megapixels for the front. It runs Android 11 and is 9.1mm thick.
