The Saudi national team qualified for the Asian Cup finals after defeating its Yemeni guest 3-0 today, Saturday, at Mursool Park Stadium in the seventh round of Group D of the joint qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Asian Cup in China.
Fahd Mosaed Al-Muwallad played the championship role and scored the second and third goals for the Saudi Green in the 17th and 32nd minutes, after Salem Al-Dosari opened the scoring in the fourth minute.
The Saudi team raised its score at the top of Group D to 14 points in the lead, while the Yemeni team remained at the bottom of the standings with five points.
With this victory, the Saudi team came close to qualifying for the final stage of the Qatar World Cup qualifiers.
The Saudi team achieved its fourth victory against two draws and a record without defeats, while the Yemeni team suffered a third loss against one victory and two draws.
