Eight police officers were injured during protests against green certificates in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. This was reported by the BNT TV channel.
Thousands of people from all over the country have come to the capital to take part in demonstrations against green certificates confirming the fact of a citizen being vaccinated against coronavirus. Law enforcers were injured when the protesters tried to enter the building of the People’s Assembly (parliament).
Earlier it became known that the demonstrations were organized by deputies from the Renaissance party. Party representatives said they oppose the certificates, “because they turn vaccination from voluntary to compulsory, interfere with normal work, study, and social life.”
