In HBO’s ‘The Rehearsal’, Nathan Fielder Puts A Big Budget and NDAs to Use

Kor Skeete, a middle-aged New Yorker who appears in the new Nathan Fielder show “The Rehearsal,” was so sworn to secrecy about the production that he couldn’t even tell his mother about it. She found out her son was on HBO while she was looking for a movie to watch. He memorized a tight-lipped line—“Unfortunately, I’m not at liberty to divulge that”—in case anyone asked for details after his episode aired. And, like many others involved in the series, he signed a non-disclosure agreement.

“I thought, well, maybe they have a reason behind the secrecy,” Mr. Skeete said in a recent interview, adding that producers told him not to talk about the show’s methods or what it was like to work with Mr. Fielder. “It’s this big project and bigger money and I don’t want to get into any kind of issue with them.”
