FORT BOYARD – Once is not custom, it is not on the snow that the Olympic champion of mogul skiing Perrine Laffont stood out but in Fort Boyard. During the episode broadcast on Saturday July 30 on France 2, the athlete gave a lesson in courage and self-transcendence by doing a test alongside snakes, an animal of which she has a phobia.
During the last challenge of this team made up of swimmer Alain Bernard, the couple of sports influencers Juju Fitcats and Tibo in Shape, presenter Alex Goude, ex-rugby player Vincent Clerc and former Koh Lanta candidate Freddy, Perrine Laffont was designated to go to the library. The test consists of crawling on the ground, under a floor, in order to recover a grimoire in which a clue is hidden.
When her name is pronounced, she takes her head in her hands, almost livid. Confused, she confesses to her teammates: “I hate snakes”. “I really expect the worst. It’s really something I have a phobia about. It can freak me out. I think it’s the fear of being bitten, the way he moves or how he might get on top of me, really that repulses me.”also explains the ski champion in front of the camera before entering the dusty room.
” It was horrible ! »
To his greatest despair, presenter Olivier Mines specifies that about forty snakes are waiting for him. Despite the fear, she enters the library, ready to crawl. But barely on the ground, she sees the snakes that make her howl. Almost in tears, she goes ahead anyway to retrieve the grimoire. Once the mission is accomplished, however, she must turn around, again in the middle of the reptiles. “Stop”she screams, panicked, while heading for the exit.
Just in time, she manages to get out of the room with the grimoire and therefore the essential clue to find the final riddle. Under the compliments of her teammates and the presenter who congratulate her on having been “beyond (his) limits”, she breathes again. “ It was awful, frankly. It shows, I think about myself, she comments. If she outdid herself, it’s because she thought “to the team, to the children” of the Premiers de Cordée association for which the team was playing.
His courage was also noticed by Internet users, many of whom applauded him, as you can see in the selected tweets below.
