[ Pressemeldung FK Austria Wien ]

Austria celebrates a sovereign 3-0 friendly win at third division FC Traiskirchen. Fischer, Gruber and Braunöder scored for Violet. Muharem Huskovic made his comeback after a protracted injury.

The violets played the second test for the coming season away from regional league club FCM Traiskirchen. After the 4-2 defeat against SKN St.Pölten, coach Manfred Schmid made two changes to the starting eleven. Ammar Helac replaced the ailing Christian Früchtl, new acquisition Andreas Gruber started instead of Can Keles.

Muki Huskovic was back in the match squad for the first time in a long time after his protracted injury, initially taking a seat next to the recently presented Manuel Polster. Marco Djuricin is out until further notice.

Austria started dominantly, as befitted their status. Minute seven: A short corner kick, Jukic lobbed the ball sensitively to the fifth, from where Tabakovic headed over it. A little later, Tabakovic netted from an offside position after a hole pass from Holland. Violett took the lead in the 25th minute: Dario Kreiker picked up speed from the left, Fischer headed the ball into the far corner.
Less than five minutes later it was 2-0. Tabakovic shielded the ball well, his shot from seven meters away was fended off by the FCM goalie, and Andreas Gruber was ready to take the shot.

Veilchen coach Manfred Schmid rotated vigorously at half-time, bringing Huskovic, Fitz, Teigl and Keles into the game. The latter tested the Traiskirchner goalie from an acute angle in the 51st minute, before the preliminary decision was made a little later: Matthias Braunöder was spot on after poking into the penalty area.
