Apple’s back-to-school campaign has a long history. Again and again in summer there is a period of several months in which qualified buyers can choose a free addition when buying one of the selected products. This year Apple selected the AirPods.
This year, too, employees of educational institutions, university students and parents of university students are entitled to participate in the campaign. All official details on Apple’s back-to-school promotion can be found in Apple’s Terms and Conditions.
Back-to-School-Promotion 2021: Free AirPods with the purchase of Mac or iPad
As usual, there are a number of aspects that must be taken into account during the action. So not only do you have to be one of the qualified customers, you also have to buy a specific Mac or iPad. This includes Apple’s iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air, as well as iPad Pro and iPad Air. However, the regular iPad (8th generation) or iPad mini are excluded.
Those who meet these requirements receive a special offer discount of 150.42 euros. Apple states the amount without VAT, so that in the end it comes to 179 euros. This is exactly enough to be able to get hold of the AirPods with charging case (2nd generation) at no additional cost. The amount remains the same, even if you order the more expensive AirPods with a wireless charging case. In this case, the difference must be paid out of pocket.
In addition to the free AirPods, qualified education customers can also save 20 percent when purchasing AppleCare +.
The campaign runs from July 16 to October 11, 2021. In addition to German customers, other buyers in Europe can look forward to similar offers, including our neighbors in Austria and Switzerland. The campaign started in June in the USA and Canada. Even earlier, Apple began offering offers in Australia and New Zealand, where customers have been luring customers since January.
