The tourism group Havanatur has recently promoted “the ideal hotel for families” in Varadero.
In a publication through Facebook, they pointed out: “Havanatur offersAre you looking for an ideal hotel for families in Varadero? We recommend this.”
What facility is it? Which is the hotel ideal for families in Varadero, according to Havanatur? How much does the hotel cost? Let’s see the details.
They refer to the Hotel Paradisus Varadero, of the Meliá Chain.
Havanatur describes it as an “exclusive All-Inclusive service that invites you to relax, accompanied by an exquisite gastronomic variety and services”.
The Meliá website indicates that it is an “exquisite All-Inclusive luxury eco-resort with Spa on the famous Varadero beach and only 20 km from the Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport”.
Likewise, they highlight the “superior comfort” of the rooms, all Junior Suites and Suites, with views of the beach areas, gardens and swimming pools, “in addition to options for families, swim-up and two exclusive Garden Villas”.
What is the price of the Hotel Paradisus Varadero?
The image that accompanies the Havanatur promotion indicates that a reservation for two adults in a room, from June 16 to 19, costs 46,668 Cuban pesos.
According to the currency converter CARthis amount would represent approximately 1,798 euros or 1,938 US dollars).
If the same reservation is made for two adults and two children (2 and 4 years old), the price goes up to 70 thousand CUP (approx. 2915 USD or 2678 EUR). Scandalous for any family that does not have foreign currency income in Cuba.
“First I need to rob the bank: 46 thousand for 2 people, so the family that we are 6, no way!”, they stated on the Havanatur page itself.
Another important detail is that several clients are denouncing that the tourist agencies in Cuba are offering hotels, without transportation.
“I went to reserve on Friday and they still didn’t have transportation,” said a user in reference to Havanatur. “Gaviota does have it,” she added.
