The Mayor of Düsseldorf hired the scandal rider Farid Bang to call young people to order. He quickly regretted it.

AWhen the corona pandemic reached Germany, there was a hope in addition to fear: that society could move closer together. This was a video that the rapper Shindy released in April. Exceptionally, there was no lightly dressed woman at his side, but a man in a jacket and white shirt: Jürgen Kessing, the mayor of Shindy’s hometown Bietigheim-Bissingen.

The SPD politician thanked the rapper for “the great idea to get involved in order to be able to address other target groups”. Then he and Shindy asked the audience to observe the hygiene rules. The video has been clicked more than 600,000 times to date.
