Langston Hughes (1902-1967), from Aquarius, was a prolific and innovative African American writer and activist. He experimented with four different genres and helped bring other African American writers to success. As a young man he had a stroke of luck while working as a waiter for a dinner attended by the famous poet Vachel Lindsay. Hughes managed to leave three of his poems on Lindsay’s table. The great poet liked them very much and later used his influence to favor Hughes’ career. I suspect you will soon have a similar opportunity, Aquarius, albeit not in the literal sense.
