While the national teams are preparing for Euro 2020 (which starts on June 11), Sports.ru experts looked at the salaries of their mentors and found out which of the team coaches earns the most. It turns out that the head coach of the Russian national team, Stanislav Cherchesov, is one of the highest paid specialists. He even got into the TOP-5 of this rating.
So, what does the top five of the most expensive coaches of the national teams who go to the European Championship look like?
The first place is taken by the German specialist Joachim Loew. His earnings are 4.75 million euros. But, according to Sports.ru, he will soon give up his championship to Hansi Flick, who at Bayern Munich received 8 million euros a year.
On the second line of the rating is the coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, who receives 4.39 million euros. The third position is taken by the coach of the Netherlands national team Frank de Boer. According to unofficial data, his income is 3 million euros. The English coach Gareth Southgate earns about the same. So he is on the fourth line of the rating.
Stanislav Cherchesov closes the top five of the highest paid coaches of the national teams. His salary is 2.5 million euros. By the way, the highest among the coaches of the teams of group B at Euro 2020.
The current European champion Fernando Santos is only on the sixth line. His income is 2.25 million euros.
