The dementia research charity in the UK (Alzheimer’s Research UK) said the disease is increasingly affecting people over the age of 40, writes Express.
Doctors have named the early symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. The first alarming sign can be considered vision problems, due to which the patient acquires difficulties in recognizing objects. Another sign of developing dementia, experts called aphasia – a condition when a person cannot find the right words to convey what he wants to say.
Personality and behavioral changes have also come to be seen as early symptoms of Alzheimer’s, but are hard to spot. Often such people are in a moodless mood, irritable, unsure of themselves, they lose interest in the activities that they loved.
Doctors believe a combination of lifestyle and genetic factors is responsible for the early onset of dementia. Smoking, drinking large amounts of alcohol, a sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy diet, high cholesterol levels, they called factors provoking the appearance of dementia.
Previously, researchers concluded that common early symptoms of dementia include memory problems, especially remembering recent events, increasing confusion, and decreased concentration.
