On Saturday 25 February, a Bolivian man named Jhonatan Acosta was found by rescue teams after being lost in the jungle for almost a month. Acosta, a 30-year-old cocoa farmer, had gone missing on January 25 while hunting with his friends in the jungle of Baures-Beni. After being recovered, he was taken to hospital where he received medical attention. According to local media, he lost about 17 kilograms of weight during his adventure. Tearfully, Acosta told reporters how he had to eat insects and worms to survive, calling his experience incredible and saying he couldn’t believe people were still looking for him after all this time.
