Abstraction Studio has in collaboration with the Halo developers 343 Industries been working on Halo: The Master Chief Collection in 2021 and this collaboration will be too continued in 2022where the main task is to keep improving the six games.
“Thanks to our great collaboration over the past year, Abstraction will continue our work on more accessibility features. The features covered aim to not only improve the experience of people with disabilities, but also add quality of life improvements for a broader, general audience. Visual, auditory, motor, and game-related accessibility features will all be considered and explored to see how we can improve Halo without changing its identity or granting unfair advantages in multiplayer. The team cares deeply about this project as it is close to our hearts and we are very excited to be working with 343 Industries again,” said Abstraction Producer Lisa Burgers in a broadcast.
What is Abstraction’s work on Halo: The Master Chief Collection 2022?
Halo: Master Chief Collection includes six games combined into a single integrated experience. Whether you’re a longtime Halo fan or playing The Chief for the first time, you’ll find a mature adventure in store. While working on Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Abstraction worked hard to make this Halo experience even more inclusive with a number of accessibility features, including expanded localization for community-requested languages and support for the three types of color blindness (protanopia, Deuteranopia and Tritanopia) and adaptation of the subtitles.
“It is a great honor for us to work on a world-renowned and loved series like Halo. The games in The Master Chief Collection mean as much to us as they do to the fans who play them, so we’re excited that Abstraction will continue to work with 343 Industries and can’t wait to continue improving the experience for all players.” Abstraction CCO Dominique Morel.
So it continues after Halo Infinite
It’s nice to see that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will not drop in 2022 either, although you have Halo Infinite on the market. After all, the game collection was released in 2014. Arguably the most important franchise for Xbox, it’s now being made more accessible to an even wider audience. Maybe other games will be made “more accessible” as well, it would be desirable. Microsoft, in particular, has made a name for itself here by not leaving out color blind players.
