The end of the GTI meeting in Reifnitz hit numerous fans hard, many still want to come this year and celebrate “their meeting”. True to the motto: “Now more than ever.”
As Volkswagen announced in a broadcast on Tuesday, the group has decided to continue the meeting in 2024 and thus bring thousands of GTIs and other (mainly) VW cars “home”. Because it is said to take place in the heart of the brand, in Wolfsburg. Under the motto “Coming Home”, Volkswagen will make the Wolfsburg location the new home of the GTI fan community.

“Our GTI fans are very important to Volkswagen and that’s why the exchange with them is very important to us,” says Imelda Labbé, Board Member for Sales, Marketing and After Sales at Volkswagen Passenger Cars. “That’s why we made our decision fairly quickly , after the GTI meeting at Wörthersee was regrettably cancelled, to offer the GTI fan base in Wolfsburg a new home for the event.” When planning the event, the wishes of the fans should also be taken into account, because above all it should be a meeting for them.
In addition to vehicle presentations, stage shows and club meetings, there will be many other activities and surprises. “The areas and infrastructure in Wolfsburg offer ideal conditions for receiving a large number of visitors with their vehicles,” VW said.
