Provence announces that a man was arrested after the burglary of Greg Yega and Melanie ENT on August 29.
The case is moving forward. The facts took place last Saturday, August 29, in Marseille. While he was at home with Melanie ORL, Greg Yega, star candidate of the show Les Marseillais, was robbed. According to him, two men entered his apartment before attack him with slaps and punches, then steal two Rolexes and some cash. Shaken but safe and sound, the influencer couple quickly spoke about what they had just experienced. It is on his Instagram account that Greg Yega exorcised his fear, which he had already done when he caught the Covid-19: “You know, we were very scared! And at the same time I tell myself that we were lucky because it could have been worse! Having a gun pointed at you, I’ll never forget it! But here we are, we are doing well and it is just material “.
Following this case, the Banditry Repression Brigade of the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police of Marseille opened an investigation and according to Provence September 10, a man was arrested. And not just any man since, again according to the regional daily, the 19-year-old suspect is already known to the police. He had indeed been convicted of aggravated violence and traffic offenses in June 2021, with a sentence of 18 months of imprisonment including 10 months firm. The prosecution gave some details about his situation: “He was in a situation of semi-liberty but, at the material time, in violation of the obligations imposed for this measure “.
Towards pre-trial detention for the arrested man
Provence explains that the arrested man was the subject of a request for temporary detention and that he was brought before the Marseille prosecutor’s office on Thursday 9 September “in view of the opening of a judicial investigation of the count of theft with a weapon, acquisition and possession of narcotics “. No information was given on the possible second person present during the burglary since, as specified Actu17, according to the words of Greg Yega, these are indeed two individuals who would have entered through an open window in his home on 11e arrondissement of Marseille.
