The 38-year-old driver drove onto the A15 motorway in the direction of Reichenburg in Tuggen. Immediately after the entrance he turned and drove as a ghost driver on the overtaking lane towards Hinwil, the St. Gallen cantonal police wrote in a media release. Although he crossed a truck in the Buechberg tunnel, the man drove on and past the Schmerikon exit.

He crossed two other vehicles in the Uznaberg tunnel, but continued his journey again. Then the tire of his car crashed between the Balmenraintunnel and the Erlentunnel according to his own information in a folding jaw and bursts.
