The private low-cost train provider Flixtrain from Germany will open a connection to Basel from June 23rd. The Basel-Berlin route should be bookable from around ten euros.
The new line to Switzerland runs from Thursday to Monday. The connection to Basel is part of an expansion of services that will allow Flixtrain to reach around 70 destinations in Germany, the company announced on Wednesday. In addition to Berlin, these include Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Hamburg. Tickets in Germany should be available from around five euros.
Flixtrain is operated by the travel platform Flix, which is known for the cheap bus line Flixbus. (SDA)
