On the 40th of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the occupation forces stormed, at dawn on Wednesday, the Al-Shifa Medical Complex after imposing a tight siege on it for several days and bombing more than five buildings inside the complex, and firing fire and shells at the wounded, displaced people and medical staff.
The government media office considered the storming of the Shifa Medical Complex a clear war crime and a moral crime against humanity.
He said, “The occupation army is once again committing a heinous, premeditated crime by targeting Al-Shifa Medical Complex and shooting inside it at this time, despite its knowledge of the presence of approximately 9,000 medical staff, wounded, patients, and displaced persons inside it.”
He added, “This new crime comes after the occupation army committed several massacres against hospitals, medical staff, and ambulances, causing more than 700 martyrs and wounded as a result of these ongoing crimes. The most horrific of these crimes was the witnessed massacre of the Baptist Hospital, and today it is carrying out this historic crime by storming Al-Shifa Hospital.”
He stressed that hospitals and medical staff have been the focus of targeting since the beginning of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, as the occupation army killed 198 doctors, nurses and paramedics, targeted 55 ambulances, and put 25 hospitals out of service through its brutal war.
The government media office held the occupation, the international community, and the United States of America fully responsible for the safety of thousands of medical staff, the wounded, and the displaced inside, and warned against committing a massacre in the hospital.
In turn, the Hamas movement, in a statement today, held the Israeli occupation and US President Joe Biden fully responsible for the occupation army’s storming of the Shifa Medical Complex.
The movement held the occupation and its neo-Nazi leaders, and President Biden and his administration fully responsible for the repercussions of the occupation army’s storming of the Shifa Medical Complex, and what the medical staff and thousands of displaced people are exposed to, as a result of this brutal crime against a health facility protected by the Fourth Geneva Convention, and the occupation leaders and all those who colluded will be held accountable for it. With him in killing children, the sick, and defenseless civilians, according to the statement.
The movement said in a press statement, “The White House and Pentagon’s adoption of the occupation’s false narrative, claiming that the resistance is using the Shifa Medical Complex for military purposes, was a green light for the occupation to commit more massacres against civilians to force them to forcibly migrate from the north to the south to complete the occupation’s plan to displace our people as well.” It was stated by many ministers of the occupying entity.”
She added, “The silence of the United Nations, and the failure of many countries and regimes, will not discourage our Palestinian people from clinging to their land and their legitimate national rights, and we will maintain our pledge to our people to continue defending them and their rights with all force, and the occupation will pay a heavy price for its crimes and its assault on our children, our women, and our sanctities, for Gaza It was and will remain a cemetery for the invaders, and tomorrow will soon be seen by its observer.”
For its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine considered storming Al-Shifa Hospital and intimidating medical staff, the wounded, and the displaced a full-fledged war crime.
The Popular Front said in a press statement that the silence of the international community, its helplessness in the face of Zionist crimes, and the unlimited support from the Biden administration is the main reason for the fascist entity’s persistence in its crimes and thuggery.
She added, “The occupation army, defeated by the valiant resistance of our people, is trying to export a false image of victory by portraying Al-Shifa Hospital as a military fortress in front of its fragile society.”
He wondered: Where are the international institutions, global health and human rights in the face of everything that is happening in Gaza? “Our people are not an extra burden on this planet,” she said.
