The rollout of another major update for the Galaxy smartphones with One UI software will probably begin in July 2023 at the latest. While we naturally don’t expect One UI 6 with Android 14 until autumn, there will be a new dot release a little earlier. OneUI 5.1.1 is on the way.
It won’t be a mega big update, but it could bring various innovations. We are counting on a rollout plan for the summer when Samsung introduces the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the new Flip 5 in July. The new firmware is currently being tested internally on the predecessors Fold 4 and Flip 4.
So far it is not really known what innovations are in the new firmware and what Samsung has planned in terms of software for the new foldables. However, these updates never go by without major innovations, which fuels the anticipation.
