The British “Sky News” website said that a new startup is seeking to develop a technology that allows humans to “live forever”, without aging harming them.

The source explained that the company plans to open a laboratory in the United Kingdom, with funding from Jeff Bezos.

Altos Labs has so far raised $270 million in funding to develop “biological reprogramming”, a method for regenerating some cells that some scientists believe could eventually extend human life.

And “Sky News” explained that the company, which was founded in the United States earlier this year, was invested by large businessmen, such as Bezos and Yuri Milner.

The company is expected to have a scientific advisory board, chaired by the famous Japanese researcher Shinya Yamanaka, who jointly won the 2012 Nobel Prize in Medicine with British John Gordon for their discovery of the possibility of converting mature cells into stem cells.

On July 5, Bezos stepped down from his position as CEO of Amazon, after 27 years of its founding.
