IMM AK Party Group Deputy Chairman and Mayor of Esenler M. Tevfik Göksu, before the IMM Assembly to be held today, Architect Dr. He made statements about Istanbul Halk Ekmek and IETT at Kadir Topbaş Performance Center.
Tevfik Göksu, who stated that after 1994, public bread became a very important food item for the city and its citizens, said, “In 1994, Halk Ekmek with a capacity of 250-300 thousand has a production capacity of up to 2.5-3 million with large facilities and investments in our period. up to it. From the first day of the assembly, the Metropolitan Municipality of the Republican People’s Party and the Republican People’s Party tried to manipulate the issue of public bread, as in every other issue. It was said, ‘We want to open people’s bread kiosks, people want to reach bread, but the parliament does not allow it’. We have repeatedly explained that this is a lie. We know very well that the CHP does not have a relationship with the public,” he said.
THE IMM APPROACH DOESN’T HAVE TO GIVE BREAD TO THE PUBLIC
Göksu said, “We know that the understanding of İBB does not have such an effort to deliver bread to the public, such a love. We said ‘yes’ to all the things that were brought to us. While they said yes to the suggestions, they were always making an advertisement like this: ‘We will complete the factory that was left unfinished during the AK Party period and we will open it soon.’ The person who was at the head of the people’s bread, who became the Mayoral Candidate of the Republican People’s Party, was really trying to raise words with us with a political mouth beyond being a civil servant or a bureaucrat,” he said.
GET YOUR HANDS FROM THE BREAD OF THE PEOPLE OF ISTANBUL
- Göksu continued his words as follows:
“On behalf of Istanbulites, I am speaking on behalf of Istanbulites to the CHP Chairman, CHP Istanbul Metropolitan President and CHP council members friends in Istanbul’s parliament; Hands off the bread of the people of Istanbul. We started the construction of the world’s largest bread production facility during the AK Party period. We bought all of their devices, everything necessary, made them work, and while the system was about to be installed, the selection process started while the factory was under construction. With this process, of course, this has stopped, as everything else has stopped.”
BREAD PRODUCTION CAPACITY DECLINED TO 900 THOUSANDS; THEY MAKE BREAD BREAD
Stating that the factory should be finished and produce bread now, Göksu said, “Bread production capacity, which had increased to about 3 million in our period, should have increased to 4-5 million now. Currently, the bread production capacity has decreased to 900 thousand and the people have started to outsource bread, as they cannot manage their own factories, the factories we have delivered, in a way that has not been seen in the history of bread. It’s not enough, they need money. Because the cormorants in IETT need money,” he said.
THEY HAVE BEEN LEASING FROM THE PARLIAMENT TO HIDDEN FOR 50 THOUSAND LIRA MONTHLY
Göksu said, “They went out to rent the people’s bread factory by hiding it from the parliament and rented it out from the council.” Don’t give away your factory to someone. You were going to deliver bread to the public, what happened? Who will make bread to produce? We are here to protect the law of the people of Istanbul in this parliament. The information and documents are here. The world’s largest bread production facility is to be donated to someone by the CHP, and hidden from the parliament, with 50 thousand dollars per month. It is wanted to be given to someone on rent,” he said.
WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE BREAD FACTORY TO BE PASSED
Göksu said, “Their problem is not your bread. Istanbul is your only slogan. They have come here only to destroy your gains, to use the power of IMM for their own personal interests, to distribute them to the stakeholders of the organization. As the AK Party group, we will not allow this bread factory to be donated or sent to someone else,” he said.
A COMPANY TAKES A 2 BILLION TENDER
Tevfik Göksu, who also made statements about IETT, said:
“When parliamentary research proposals are made about the government from time to time, if the parliament is rejected, the CHP and its representatives shout ‘why are you afraid’. At the beginning of September, we asked questions about what is going on at IETT, taking into account the drama of the society regarding IETT. Within the framework of these questions, after the CHP won, one company came and received a tender for approximately 2 billion dollars in 1.5 years. Just as he bought it, he knowingly bought the approximate cost of all the tenders. 14 tenders were made, 7 of them were made by invitation. 2 billion, the money of the people of Istanbul went to only one person. We asked this. After asking this, we said answer us, and the IMM President said ‘dry noise’.
“IF ‘DRY NOISE’ IS INSPECTED; WHY ARE YOU AFRAID?”
Stating that they wanted the issue to be investigated with the decision taken in the IMM Assembly, Göksu said, “I am calling out to the IMM President, if this is all a fuss, why did you veto the established research commission? Why are you afraid, why are you afraid? The investigation commission, which was established to investigate corruption and irregularities in IETT, was vetoed by the IMM President. Do you know what this veto means? ‘Don’t confuse, there’s scum there’ is the Turkish translation for it. If they have enough heart, if they are sure of themselves, if they are correct, challenge them.”
WE WILL FIGHT LEGAL
Saying, “If they believe they are honest, let them be,” Göksu continued his explanation with the following words:
“The commission of inquiry is the members of parliament elected by the nation. Let them bring the documents, let’s inspect on behalf of the people of Istanbul. This was vetoed, it doesn’t matter. Despite their veto, I hope we will establish this commission with an insistent decision, and if necessary, we will fight legally. This commission will start to work and protect the rights of Istanbulites. Istanbulites are no longer able to watch the historical sights of Istanbul because of pushing buses on the roads, watching the tram that is on the road every day, and the broken subway. We are here on behalf of Istanbul. We will follow them on behalf of Istanbulites. I ask the President of IMM again; ‘Why are you so afraid of investigating the tender at IETT?’ If it’s dry noise, why are you scared? Why did you veto? We will protect every penny of Istanbulites. They will prevent them, but we will continue on our way by overcoming those obstacles.
