In view of the 3-G regulation at the workplace, the City of Vienna has set up a 24-hour test road. The tests are carried out using PCR and antigen.

Anyone who is in contact with other people at least occasionally at work must be tested, vaccinated or recovered. The City of Vienna has now set up a 24-hour test street in the Ernst Happel Stadium so that unvaccinated people can test at any time.

This is now continuously in operation. Parking is possible on site, but we recommend arriving by public transport, because either way you have to use the walk-in. The 24-hour test road is operated by a consortium of the Arbeiter-Samariterbund, the Red Cross, the Green Cross, the Johanniter and the Maltese.

Vienna is prepared

The tests are carried out using PCR and a rapid antigen test. The latter is valid for 24 hours, whereas PCR tests are valid for 48 hours. As with all test offers, an appointment is required in advance; this can be done online at or by calling 1450.

“Everything gurgles” is also far from being used to capacity. 500,000 tests per day would be possible, currently 600,000 are carried out per week.

“The 24-hour test line will increase the antigen rapid test capacity by 36 percent. The current test line capacity is almost 300,000 tests per week (around 210,000 PCR tests and 80,000 antigen rapid tests per week)”, says Hacker- Speaker Mario Dujaković on Twitter.
