From “Mr. Nyet” the “punching bag” of the world. The life and controversies of Sergey Lavrov – Observer

As the website Pass Blue recently pointed out, it is not going to be easy to be the “punching bag” for the entire world — but Sergey Lavrov, who for a decade, from the United Nations headquarters in New York, to had as its primary mission to care for the “maintenance of international peace and security”, it has not been dissatisfied with the new mission.

After apparently having been the most cautious and anti-war voices of the Kremlin at first — it has now gone down in history the staunch way in which, at the meeting of the Russian Security Council, a week before the invasion of Ukraine, I told Vladimir Putin that there were still “possibilities” in the diplomatic channel and suggested that they “keep trying” — the Russian Foreign Minister assumed himself as the main supporter of the “special military operation” in Ukraine.
