France: nine men injured with a knife

The perpetrators used edged weapons and tear gas.

UA brawl at the exit of a bar in Saint-Brévin-les-Pins (Loire-Atlantique) injured nine men with a knife, including one in serious condition but whose health does not inspire concern, a-t -we learned on Sunday from the Saint-Nazaire public prosecutor’s office.

The Loire-Atlantique firefighters intervened on Sunday around 1:20 a.m. “for a knife attack on several people at the exit of a bar”.

“There are nine victims, one of whom has a wound in the chest, without vital prognosis, and a dozen unidentified perpetrators,” said the Saint-Nazaire prosecutor’s office, specifying that the perpetrators had used knives and tear gas.

“The origin of this brawl is unknown,” added the prosecution.

“A 31-year-old man, in serious condition, was transported to Saint-Nazaire University Hospital and six others, aged 21 to 33, are slightly injured,” AFP told AFP earlier in the morning. Codis duty officer, adding that the circumstances of the attack “remained to be determined in this usually calm seaside town”.

Seventeen firefighters and seven vehicles were engaged during the intervention.

The investigation was entrusted to the gendarmerie of Saint-Brévin with the help of the research brigade of Pornic.
