Ford allows a first look at the next generation of Ford Ranger. The new pick-up was developed by Ford, is produced by Ford, is to be presented this year and will be launched in over 180 countries from 2022, including Austria.
And based on the new Ranger, VW will also bring the next generation of the Amarok, as VW boss Diess announced last year.
All Ford Rangers destined for Europe are (like the current generation of Ranger) built at the Ford plant in Silverton (South Africa). Further Ranger production facilities are located in Thailand, Argentina and the USA.
Ford promises that the new Ranger will be the toughest, most capable, and the most connected Ranger ever.
The car is currently going through an extensive validation and test program – both in the real and in the virtual world.
Ford has already announced that from 2024 all commercial vehicles will be available either as fully electric model versions or with plug-in hybrid drives. From 2030 these
electrified variants account for two-thirds of Ford’s commercial vehicle sales in Europe.
