Saarlouis – The trembling at Ford continues!
Although the employees returned to the assembly lines after weeks of short-time work, they are standing still. The reason: Still a lack of material, especially semiconductors, which are required for the production of the Focus.
It won’t really get going until the week after next. But how does this happen? In mid-April, the works council rejected an application from management for further short-time work (BILD reported). The reason was that it would not be comprehensible at the location, while extra shifts are being pushed in Valencia, for example.
“Currently, only work is done in the press shop. Otherwise, only training and education takes place,” said works council member Holger Michel to the SR.
