On Friday evening, a 16-year-old moped driver had an accident in Flums in the canton of Sankt Gallen and suffered unspecified head injuries. The driver collided with a parked trailer in Kirchstrasse. The accident now employs the youth prosecutor’s office, as the Sankt Gallen cantonal police announced on Saturday.
The 16-year-old was on the motorbike of his colleague of the same age on Kirchstrasse in the direction of the train station and drove back the same way. At the level of the property at Kirchstrasse 6, he lost control and crashed into the trailer that was parked outside the lane. The teenager was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. He was taken to a hospital by an ambulance.
The cantonal police found “various technical changes” on the moped itself. It can be assumed that the Puch Maxi could drive faster than is permissible for a moped. The 16-year-old who had an accident and the owner of the moped of the same age would now be reported to the youth prosecutor, it was said.
