Aston Villa announced on Monday the signing of Argentine Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City.
“Aston Villa have reached an agreement with Norwich City for the transfer of Emiliano Buendia,” the club said in a statement.
“The player is currently in the medical bubble with the Argentina national team, preparing for the World Cup qualifier against Colombia on Tuesday evening,” the statement added.
“Emiliano will undergo medical tests and will complete the transfer process after the match,” the statement concluded.
Reports indicate that the value of the deal is 34 million pounds.
The 24-year-old Argentine plays as a striker or as a right winger.
Buendia appeared with Norwich last season in 41 matches in the second division and led the team back to the Premier League, when he scored 15 goals and assisted 17.
It is noteworthy that Aston Villa includes among its ranks Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet”, and a few days ago, he announced the end of Ahmed Al-Mohammadi’s journey with the team.
