Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino celebrate Liverpool’s goal

Newcastle United coach Steve Bruce revealed how he felt when Liverpool trio Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino entered as substitutes for the two teams in the Premier League.

Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp retained the three on the bench before pushing them once in the second half of the match, which ended in a 3-1 victory for the Reds in the final round of the league.

“When Salah, Mane and Firmino entered, I realized how good each player was, especially with the absence of fans on the field,” Bruce said in comments highlighted by the Liverpool Echo newspaper.

“In general, we did a good job in large portions of the match, especially in the first half.”

“We defended very well, given the problems we faced from the Liverpool attackers,” he added.

“We had a desire to win, but in the end we weren’t good enough,” he said.

Virgil Van Dyck, Divoc Origi and Manny scored the Reds trilogy.

Liverpool’s victory made him finish the league that returned to its lockers after 30 years of absence with 99 points.

Liverpool go into a two-week break before they begin preparations to defend their title next season.
