Fendt production comes to a standstill after a hacker attack on AGCO

As AGCO announced in a brief statement, the group’s EDP was disrupted by malware. The hacker attack affects work at several production sites around the world.

According to its own statements, the top management expects business operations to be disrupted for several days or possibly longer. The exact duration of the outage depends on how long it takes the company to repair the IT damage.

In addition to Fendt, the AGCO Group also includes the Valtra, Massey Ferguson and Challenger brands. Last year, the agricultural machinery manufacturer achieved sales of 11.1 billion US dollars with over 20,000 employees in 35 countries.

The agrarheute magazine 6/2022, which will be published on May 27th, will deal in detail with the increasing cybercrime, hacker attacks on agriculture and how farmers protect themselves from attacks by ransomware.
