Fall Guys: Xbox and Switch versions no longer in 2021

The surprise success and long-running Fall Guys should have been available for Xbox and Switch for a long time, but plans were thwarted. It is now clear: In 2021, a corresponding release will no longer work.

The original plan was to bring versions of the title, which was already so successful on the PC and PS4, to Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Switch in the summer of this year. At least a release in 2021 was generally assumed afterwards, but these hopes have now been finally destroyed.

Developer Mediatonic has now spoken out and officially announced that the outstanding console versions will no longer be published in 2021; Only in the coming year 2022 will they now comment on this in more detail and then also name a release date.

“We know everyone is excited that Fall Guys is coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox – and for good reason. There has been a lot of speculation on social media linking this new console release to the launch of Season 6. We want to make it clear that this is not the case and no one is left confused looking for the game on these platforms, “said the developer.

The release originally planned for summer had been postponed because the team finally felt this time window was “simply too early” to be able to reliably implement all the planned new features.

On PC and PlayStation, however, players can immerse themselves in the new Season 6 called “Party Spectacular”, which includes new unlockable rewards and limited-time events. The goal of reaching as many players as possible with the title is coming closer because Epic Game Accounts now enable cross-platform advances and also cross-play between PlayStation and PC. The feature is still associated with learning effects for the studio.

For example, there will be a Sackboy event in the game until December 5th, for which you can watch a suitable trailer below.
