Ex-Rapidler Kara scored Orlando’s first MLS brace to victory

With his first brace in Major League Soccer (MLS), Ercan Kara shot Orlando City to a 2-1 home win over Houston on Saturday. The Viennese scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season in the 25th and 58th minutes, and in the 2-0 he deflected a shot from his team-mate Mauricio Pereyra and was untenable. In the last four games, the ex-Rapidler has scored four times.

After the first win in four games, Orlando is fourth in the Eastern Conference, a point behind second-placed New York coached by Gerhard Struber. The Red Bulls won 2-0 at home on Saturday.
