Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of the second largest cryptocurrency in the world Ethereum, became the face of the cover of the first ever issue of Time magazine issued in the form of an NFT (non-fungible token). This was reported on the publication’s website.
The issue was prepared jointly with Litdao. It will be released on the blockchain, allowing owners to read it through an interactive NFT, which will be released on March 23rd.
In the cover photo, Buterin wears a T-shirt with the title of an article dedicated to him, “The Prince of Crypto has Concerns,” written by Time editor Andrew Chow. The material talks about “Vitalik Buterin’s struggle for the future of Ethereum.”
In particular, in the article, the programmer says that he feels “pride and fear” watching how his project develops. “Cryptocurrency has great dystopian potential if not implemented properly,” said the founder of Ethereum.
Vitalik Buterin was born in Kolomna in 1994, but grew up in Toronto, where he moved with his parents at the age of six. In 2015, he launched the Ethereum blockchain platform after winning the New York World Technology Awards.
