The new feature had already been anticipated in October by some insiders, but evidently the technical problems, especially related to the PC version, took priority. The feature can be activated from the settings menu on all three platforms, although the developer points out that “performance may be affected by activating ray tracing”. Handling the technology, as you know, is quite demanding on the GPU so it’s no surprise. However, the visual improvement is guaranteed. The mode optimizes the visual rendering of reflections and lighting, but for PC gamers the requirements are not exactly accessible. The software house, in fact, has also released a scheme with minimum and recommended requirements to enjoy the improvements. The minimum requirements include a configuration consisting of an Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT processor flanked by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GPU or an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. In this way you can enjoy a 1080p experience with low quality, including that of ray tracing which must be set to “Low”. The frame rate is not mentioned. The recommended ones, however, suggest the use of an Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU together with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT video card. Also in this case the proposed resolution is Full HD, but with high settings and ray tracing on “High”. The update also includes a large number of bug fixes and balance improvements, all listed on the official page on the Bandai Namco website. We also remind you that installing the update is essential to continue enjoying the online and multiplayer features.
