Virtually invincible is what we can say about this Mercedes-Benz 200 D, W 124 generationone of the most venerable of the E class, serving as a taxi in Dürres, Albania.
It was built in 1993 and is equipped with the most modest of the diesel engines that equipped the W 124: the OM 601 four-cylinder, 2.0 l, without turbo and only 75 hp.
But what it lacks in performance, the 200 D seems to make up for and plenty in durability: the odometer of this example registered 1,584,589 km when the video of the German golf was made.

More than 1.5 million kilometers, but always with the same engine, as the owner of this taxi, Luan Nina, 70 years old, tells us.
The only repair he had to make was the head gasket. For the rest, just take care of the correct maintenance of the engine and pour fuel.
This Mercedes-Benz 200 D was imported from Germany 15 years ago and since then it has only done taxi service, with Luna Nina accumulating more than a million kilometers behind the wheel.
As a curiosity, one out of every three cars imported by Albania is Mercedes-Benz, generally more than 10 years old – there are about 212 thousand of them circulating in the country.
