The head of Congress, Navjot Singh Sidhu, was Saturday the center of attraction of the integrated checkpoint, the deputy of Amritsar (East) making sure to greet everyone. The pilgrims gave Sidhu the credit for the "success of the Kartarpur corridor".

Sidhu says: "It was the almighty who was behind the corridor opening."

Sidhu, while interacting with the audience, said that he did not get along with those who "challenge my character".

In discussing with The Tribune, Sidhu said that after leaving the office, he meditated for 15 to 17 hours a day and lost 25 kg.

In a lighter note, he says: "As a result, all my old clothes go to me."

He said: "Although I now have the visa, if the Ministry of External Affairs did not allow me to go to Kartarpur, I would have gone there with my wife five days later."
