Hawaiians particularly value one thing at lunch: the “Hawaiian Macaroni Salad”. The noodle salad is traditionally served at the so-called “Hawaiian Plate Lunch”. There are also fried chicken, rice and the creamy macaroni salad on the plate.
If you think of a tropical pasta salad with pineapple, you are unfortunately wrong. Because creamy salads are often eaten in the USA. However, our salad is not served with mayo, but with a light alternative.
Ingredients you need for a large bowl of Hawaiian Noodle Salad:
• 500g Maccaroni
• 4 carrots
• 3 sticks of celery
• 3 spring onions
• 1 cup of sour cream or crème fraîche
• 200g Naturjoghurt
• 6 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
• Salt pepper
