At Michigan Buddies, the schedule reveal isn’t such an exciting moment because it all comes down to determining the order in which the Pistons will be eaten. We’re kidding, but Detroit can’t expect much from this new season in reconstruction mode, except for the progress of its young stars Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey and Co.. Because in Motor City it’s still not the talent that’s lacking.
Even if the Pistons won’t be the favorites very often, they can still scrape together a few wins early in the season. Opening the ball against Orlando at home then travel to New York, Indiana and Washington, and if the winning streak of Detroit started there? Be careful to come back down to earth quickly, or the Warriors may then Milwaukee sequence (twice) take good care of it for them. In fact, the Pistons’ calendar looks quite balanced and the games against the giants of the League do not follow each other. We want to say so much better, otherwise it could have been a real killer. Speaking of slaughterhouse, Motor City moves to the City of Angels on November 18th and hosts the Lakers on December 11th, enough to give us the second round duel Isaiah Stewart vs LeBron ?
# Plus long road trip: 6 games in mid-November, including two battles against the Los Angeles teams.
# Longest home session: 5 matches between 11 and 23 January.
# National broadcast games (TNT + ESPN + ABC): euuuuh… Only 1, against Philly on January 10th.
# Number of games played back to back: 13, #DetroitVsAll.
# Matches at schedule French for pistons:
- 30/10 vs Warriors (11pm)
- 08/01 vs Sixers (9pm)
- 15/01 vs Knicks (19h)
- 19/01 in Paris vs Chicago (21h)
- 12/02 in Toronto (21:00)
- 25/02 vs Toronto (18h)
- 19/03 vs Miami (11pm)
- 04/09 in Chicago (19:00)
# A few posters to remember: we look forward to one thing, the return of matches between French youngsters. Killian Hayes vs Théo Maledon (Thunder), always a real treat. We will also note the duels of rookie quarterbacks, especially Jaden Ivey against Bennedict Mathurin with the Pacers, and Shaedon Sharpe with the Blazers. Also to watch: meetings between Rockets and Pistons (late January and late March) to compare the progress of Jalen Green and Cade Cunningham. Finally, the highlight of the show and major highlight of the season at Motor City will be the match against Chicago in Paris!
