From November – the exact date has not yet been determined – the United States will open its borders to vaccinated travelers from Europe. The airline is responding by expanding its flight offer from Germany. From December 14, 2021, it will resume the connection from Frankfurt am Main to New York-JFK.
Delta operates the route daily with an Airbus A330-200. DL107 takes off from Frankfurt at 09:50 a.m. and reaches the Big Apple after around nine hours of flight time at 1 p.m. local time. The connection to New York will complement the existing daily connection from Frankfurt to Atlanta, which was maintained during the pandemic.
After a pandemic-related suspension of flights to Germany’s second largest airport, Delta will also return to Munich in December: From December 14, the Bavarian capital will initially be connected to the airline’s hub in Atlanta four times a week. DL131 leaves Munich at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and lands in the state of Georgia at 3:50 p.m. local time. The flights are carried out with a Boeing 767-300.
