Experts warn against that the housing shortage will intensify rapidly in the coming years. A housing crisis is looming, the likes of which we haven’t experienced in over 30 years. Does that worry you, Ms. Badran?

Jacqueline Badran: no The proportion of vacant apartments is currently well above the long-term average. Just two years ago, people complained about too many apartments being built. What worries me more is that rents have exploded over the past 15 years, even though they should have fallen because of low interest rates. And what worries me is that more and more real estate companies are entering the market. They operate with a completely different logic than private individuals.
