The Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab and the Moroccan NGO Tibu Africa signed, on Friday in Dakhla, a framework agreement to promote education through sport in benefit the young people of the region.
Signed by the director of the AREF of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Mohamed Faouzi and the founding president of the NGO Tibu Africa, Mohamed Amine Zariat, this agreement aims to promote education, professional integration and entrepreneurship of young people, rising generations and women through sport.
Under this three-year agreement, the two parties also undertake to set up a series of development programs through sport for the benefit of young people in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region.
Thanks to this integrated configuration of the use of sport as a tool for education and socio-economic integration for young people, the two actors combine formal education with sporting activities, in order to offer opportunities for personal development, social and professional to young people in the region.
In a statement to MAP, Mr. Faouzi said the collaboration with Tibu Africa reflects the mutual commitment to improving the quality of education and providing an educational environment that is stimulating and conducive to growth.
“Sport is not only a physical activity, but also a powerful educational tool that contributes to the construction of values and life skills in young people”, he stressed, noting that “the promotion of sportsmanship and the development of positive values through sport will contribute to the prosperity of our region and our youth”.
For his part, the founding president of the NGO Tibu Africa noted that this convention is of crucial importance for the education system, given that it targets young people passionate about sport in the region, providing them with available various programs, in order to develop their technical, practical and entrepreneurial skills.
This agreement also aims to support young people who are passionate about sport and wish to invest in this area, he continued, expressing the wish to expand education through sport programs in all regions of the Kingdom.
Present since 2019 in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, Tibu Africa is committed to working to mobilize all the resources necessary for the implementation of its programs which offer innovative solutions to young people in the region, while offering them the opportunity to acquire skills that meet the requirements of the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s world.
