Marlon
The death of a nine-year-old provokes ambivalent reactions in his school: Marlon’s (Lucas Herzog) conspicuous, recalcitrant behavior made him an outsider. The parents of his classmates even tried to have him removed from school. It’s depressing that there’s almost more relief than sadness around Marlon. Lena Odenthal (Ulrike Folkerts) and Johanna Stern (Lisa Bitter) are all the more dependent on Marlon’s only friend Pit (Finn Lehmann), on social worker Anton Leu (Ludwig Trepte), who repeatedly tried to integrate the boy, and possibly classmate Madita (Hanna Lazarakopoulos), who got along with Marlon much better than her parents wanted. Piece by piece, the inspectors reconstruct the last days of a boy who couldn’t cope with his own emotions and whom not a few wanted to get rid of.
