Gimbe: Marks towards the orange zone

Marche towards the orange zone. The data of the Gimbe Foundation, which processes the data provided by the regions to the Agenas on 11 January last, say so. Gimbe explains that “the enormous quantity of new cases in continuous growth is progressively saturating the hospitals both because it will encounter a too numerous susceptible population (2.2 million 0-4 years old not vaccinated, 8.6 million unvaccinated and over 15 million waiting for the third dose) and, to a lesser extent, due to the immune ‘escape’ phenomena of the Omicron variant “. In particular, in the regional scenario contained in the independent Gimbe monitoring, it emerges that “the Marches are in orange due to the availability of places in intensive care but have 49 places in the medical area”.

Also according to Gimbe, in the week 5-11 January, a worsening performance was recorded for the currently positive cases in the Marche per 100,000 inhabitants (713) and there is an increase in new cases (30.8%) compared to the previous week.
