Two weeks ago, employees of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund are said to have stolen up to 20 vaccination passports that were already stamped but not yet personalized from Impfstrasse in the Austria Center in Vienna-Donaustadt.

As the daily newspaper “Kurier” reports (Tuesday edition), a colleague is said to have observed and reported a theft on May 25th and 26th, police investigations were still ongoing.

Accused employees were dismissed without notice and reported

In total, there are said to be five employees who were dismissed without notice. Three of them were reported. As the President of the Samaritan Association, Susanne Drapalik, told the ORF program “Wien heute”, the employee was observed stamping the vaccination pass, which he then took.

What was planned with the vaccination certificates afterwards is not known, but after the incident, security measures were strengthened, said Drapalik.
