A Hamburg entrepreneur advertises free corona rapid tests on the Internet, although these have actually been abolished since October 11. Now the social authority steps in – they want to put a stop to this business model.

The provider’s idea is very simple: you do a self-test at home that you bought beforehand, wait for the result and then fill out a form on the Internet. And then you get the certificate – issued by an online doctor and without paying a euro for it.

Offer legally permitted from the entrepreneur’s point of view

Because the entrepreneur doesn’t think much of the state’s corona policy – he made that clear in an interview with NDR 90.3. From his point of view, the online offer is legally permitted – it is nowhere prescribed that a doctor must monitor the rapid test directly on site.

Social authority: Anyone who uses the certificates risks being fined

The social authority sees it completely differently. The evidence could not be used to go to a barber shop, for example. The authority now wants to take legal action against the entrepreneur. And she warns that it can get expensive with this certificate – whoever uses it risks a fine of 300 euros.
