In the economic and social development plan for the current fiscal year 2021/2022, the government confirmed that production at current prices is targeted to reach about 250 billion pounds in the year of the plan, compared to about 222 billion pounds in the previous year, with an increase of 12.3%, and at constant prices to about 144 billion pounds. Compared to about 136 billion pounds in the previous year, an increase of 5.5%.
With regard to the sector’s output, it is targeted to rise at current prices from about 155 billion pounds in the year 21/20 to about 174 billion pounds in the year of the plan, registering an increase of 12.3%.
