It will be an electric and urban car, and it arrives to play the role that the Seat Ibiza, in its respective Cupra version, should have represented in the market.
With this name, Cupra pays tribute to the Raval neighborhoodin the heart of Barcelona, about which the Spanish artist Rosalía already gave clues in the advertising campaign that activated the brand a few months ago.

“El Raval is one of the most amazing parts of Barcelona. And today, we are proud that the brand’s future urban electric car bears his name and represents his spirit. In the same way that we did with the Cupra Born, now we want to export the essence of the Raval and continue to inspire the world from Barcelona”, explained Wayne Griffiths, CEO of Seat and Cupra.
With the new Cupra Raval, “the brand has created the most radical interpretation of Cupra in an urban electric car inspired by the world of competition,” he explains in a statement. is the production version of the Cupra UrbanRebela prototype that the brand presented in June of last year as a preview.
The car will be assembled in Martorellwhere 3,000 million euros will be invested for its transformation from combustion to electrification and to produce electric cars from 2025 based on the platform MEB Small of the Volkswagen Group.
“The Cupra Raval is not just another car. It is the invitation to a new generation, which expects something better. An urban, rebellious, and 100% electric car, with its own character and linked to ‘Generation Z’. Something more emotional”, highlighted Griffiths.
Technical details of the Cupra Raval are not yet known, but if it adopts the specifications of the Cupra UrbanRebel, it should equip a 166 kW electric motor (226 CV) and a range of up to 440 miles on a single charge. It should also go from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
