Wien. According to a survey by the digital association Bitkom, three out of four companies have spoken out in favor of the introduction of a digital euro. 78 percent of all companies with 50 or more employees supported such a step in a survey, as Bitkom announced in the previous week. 652 companies in Germany were interviewed for the survey. Around 20 percent, however, spoke out against the plans.

According to the survey, 78 percent of companies fear that other state or private digital currencies will be used that could undermine European values. 64 percent see an advantage in the fact that, even if the importance of cash decreases, citizens retain direct access to the central bank.
