Coach Labbadia ahead of VfB Stuttgart – Gisdol could follow

Bundesliga bottom

After the next Bundesliga defeat at Union Berlin (0:3), head coach Bruno Labbadia’s days at VfB Stuttgart are apparently numbered. As the „Bild“ reported, the 57-year-old, who was actually brought in for the rescue mission, is about four months from now again at the bottom of the table. It is said that the Swabians will most likely part ways with Labbadia. He was only able to win two of twelve games – including one in the cup in Paderborn.

As a possible successor, the newspaper brings up the currently clubless coach Markus Gisdol. The report does not reveal whether such negotiations have already taken place.

Labbadia has to go, Gisdol follows – this constellation already existed in the Bundesliga in September 2016, at that time at Hamburger SV. Gisdol, like Labbadia, is considered a head coach who has been tried and tested in relegation battles.
